All items presented in full from Part I of the Manuscript Division collection of the American Colony in Jerusalem collection were originally received by the Library of Congress in connection with the Library of Congress 2005 exhibition, “The American Colony in Jerusalem,” Ruth Hummel, guest curator, and Cheryl Regan, exhibition coordinator for the Library of Congress Interpretative Programs Office, through the aegis of Mrs. Valentine Vester of the American Colony Hotel, Jerusalem, and the Office of the Librarian of the Library of Congress.

Acquisitions for the American Colony in Jerusalem Collection were conducted by Barbara Bair, in coordination with Peter Stark, gifts and acquisitions specialist, U.S.-Anglo Acquisitions, and Emily Vartanian, assistant general counsel, and Hope O’Keeffe, supervisory attorney, Office of General Counsel. Receipt and archival processing of the collection by the Manuscript Division is supervised by Allan Teichroew, head, and Michael Spangler, assistant head, Preparation Section.

Rights and permissions review for this site was conducted by the Library of Congress Office of General Counsel.
