Molly Gayden

Molly Gayden is a MSPH candidate for December 2011 at Tulane Univesity’s School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine working on her degree in Global Environmental Health Science.  Molly is a volunteer intern at the Division for Foodborne, Waterborne, and Environmental Diseases (DFWED) in the National Center for Emerging and Zoonotic Infectious Diseases (NCEZID) at CDC. She has been working closely with the Mycotic Diseases Branch and the Waterborne Disease Prevention Branch in order to translate technical information into public content, as well as assist with disease outbreaks. Molly spent two years at the United States Air Force Academy and then completed her BA in biology at College of Charleston in 2009.   Molly has worked at the College of Charleston Department of Fire and EMS and at the Medical University of South Carolina on the Transplant and Orthopedic/Trauma Surgery Floors. Her professional interests include disaster preparedness and response, public health for rural communities and developing countries, emerging infectious diseases, and risk communication.
