Your web browser probably handles JPEG images. But if you are interested
in the high resolution images available at this site, you may
choose to configure your browser to have JPEG images handled by an
application that allows you to pan and zoom on the downloaded image.
Note that many of the images are 24-bit color images.

When you press "PDF," a PDF document should appear. If it does not,
the Acrobat Reader is either not installed, not configured properly, or
may be an old version. Once the Reader is properly installed, configure
it as a plug-in to see search matches highlighted in PDF documents.
In Acrobat Reader 9, under Edit > Preferences > Search, turn on
"Enable search highlights from external highlight server."
Highlighting will not work with Acrobat Reader X which does not support
search highlighting on external servers. You can use another PDF viewer
or plug-in that supports hit highlighting. Some of these are listed at

When you press "MOV," a Quicktime movie should start playing (or
download then start playing.) If it does not, the Quicktime player
is either not installed, not configured properly, or may be an old
version. You may need administrator privileges to install and configure
QuickTime. Note that the movies are 24-bit color movies.

When you press "RAM," a Real Video should start playing. If it does
not, the Real Player is either not installed, not configured properly,
or may be an old version. Download, install and configure the player
according to the instructions which accompany it. You may need administrator privileges to install and configure RealPlayer.
The same player handles audio and video. Audio and video are streaming. Note that the
video is 24-bit color video.
