NAAPIMHA believes in strengthening the voice of those impacted by mental health problems. It strives to improve the quality of lives of children, youth and their families, adults and elders who face unique challenges brought on by culture and language barriers. NAAPIMHA joins other advocates who understand that there really is no health without mental health. It follows a public health approach that recognizes that mental health impacts and is impacted by every aspect of a person’s life including not only their physical health but also their education, employment, housing, immigration and social, political events.
