Welcome to the Resource Sharing Project Website

The Resource Sharing Project is part of a national movement of sexual violence-related services and resources. Work to end sexual violence and support survivors happens at the local, state and national level in the U.S.

In counties throughout the U.S., local direct services are available to sexual assault victims, as well as their friends and families. These direct services are provided through rape crisis centers, which are sometimes co-housed with domestic violence or other local service programs.

There are close to 1300 rape crisis centers in the U.S. Additionally, there are local organizations that address sexual violence but may not identify directly as rape crisis centers. These organizations focus on different forms of prevention work or on community-specific solutions to sexual violence.

At the state level, sexual assault coalitions serve as membership associations for local services providers, and also often advocate for improvements in laws, services, and resources for survivors of sexual violence and their service providers. Each state and territory has a sexual assault coalition (some are combined with their domestic violence coalitions), to find your coalition, please visit the National Sexual Violence Resource Center.

Nationally, there are a number of organizations working to improve services for survivors and increase resources for coalitions and service providers. The RSP is one of these national groups. Our partners include:
