Office of Logistics and Supply Chain Management

Logistics and Supply Chain ManagementThe Logistics and Supply Chain Management staff are responsible for VA logistics policy development, enforcement, coordination, and training.  This includes policy for property management, transportation, storage and distribution, and environmental compliance.  The office is also the program manager for Departmental inventory management systems, VA strategic sourcing, metrics conversion, value engineering, product standards and specifications and the Supplier Relationship Management initiative.

In addition to the above, several operational elements are managed by the office including Publications Service, freight management, household goods moves and employee relocations, small package express delivery, the homeless Veterans support program, and motor vehicle title.
