Feedback and Outreach Activities
The feedback received from the outreach activities provides VA with data to develop Action Plans to:
- Improve acquisition processes and procedures;
- Improve communication and customer service with suppliers and internal customers; and,
- Tailor training to better meet the needs of VA contracting staff, internal customers and the supplier community.
Going forward, VA will continue outreach and measurement activities such as the Internal Customer Satisfaction Survey, Supplier Perception Survey and Regional Forums, as well as implement a social media outreach program to measure progress made against the stated goals in the VA Action Plans.
Due to Department of Veterans Affairs’ (VA) efforts to reduce VA spend associated with meetings and conferences across VA to the degree possible, the Supplier Relationship Management Regional Forums and the Federal Supply Schedule Forums scheduled to be held in Chicago, IL, on October 17 and 18, 2012, and in Washington, DC, on November 7, 2012, have been cancelled. VA appreciates the feedback it receives from suppliers and will continue to use this feedback to improve acquisition processes, procedures, and customer service for its suppliers.
