Aircraft Cable Assemblies

UNICOR/FPI aircraft cable assemblies are used in hundreds of applications, including Cobra helicopters, F15, F16 and P36 combat jets, and T37 and T38 trainers. We can provide both original wiring and rewiring services for military and civilian aircraft.

Coaxial Cable Assemblies

The UNICOR/FPI Electronics Group has the unique capability to produce both flexible and semi-rigid coaxial cables that require great precision and care in the manufacturing process.

Our coaxial cable assemblies are designed to accommodate faster signal speeds over longer distances with less signal loss. They also meet tough EMI/RFI emission controls, even in high-density configurations, to meet the needs for safe, secure and reliable transmission of voice, video or data in demanding environments.

Our coaxial cable assemblies are used in radar, and radio-frequency and microwave communications, with a special focus on equipment for coordinated communications in military or security operations.

Electric Power & Distribution Cables

UNICOR/FPI configures power distribution systems, including circuit breaker enclosures, lighting fixtures, floodlight systems and cable and fiber optic assemblies and connectors.

We also manufacture heavy-duty, rugged electric power and distribution cables that deliver power from a generator or other central source to field offices, hospitals, kitchens, tents and other temporary command locations for military, security, agency and emergency uses.

Our power and distribution cables are available in a wide range of lengths and conductor sizes. Their resistance to abrasion, many solvents and chemicals, and wide temperature ranges make them ideal choices for use in running heavy equipment, large-scale outdoor lighting needs, and supplying power to military and civilian field operations.

Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) Cables

UNICOR/FPI manufactures metallic wireways and shielded cables that protect sensitive equipment and electrical circuits from electromagnetic interference (EMI). Our wide range of EMI cables and assemblies provide effective shielding over a broad frequency spectrum to minimize cross-talk, prevent interference from external sources and eliminate electronic radiation from the cables themselves.

The EMI cables and assemblies we produce are designed to address demanding military, civil and commercial needs for EMI grounding, shielding and suppression in structures, communication systems and sensitive equipment.

Our EMI cable assemblies are found in command posts, electronics on smart weapons, radar, military radios and wireless antennas as well as aircraft navigation, power control units and flight control equipment.

Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP) Shielded Cables

UNICOR/FPI has the manufacturing technology to produce cables and assemblies with challenging shielding requirements, including those hardened against electromagnetic pulses (EMP) by many sources, from nuclear attack and munitions explosions to lightning strikes and power surges.

Standard shielding offers little protection against EMP. However, our EMP-hardened cables and connectors meet stringent military/aerospace requirements, and are in use worldwide to mitigate the effects of EMP on mission-critical command centers, military vehicles, missiles, naval vessels and avionic, navigation and communication equipment.

Fiber Optic Cable Assemblies

UNICOR/FPI has the capacity to build a broad spectrum of high-reliability, multi-strand fiber optic cable assemblies in single- and multi-mode using military-qualified components. We can customize these assemblies with a wide range of cable types, configurations, interconnects, accessories and terminations.

Our fiber optic cable assemblies are tested against very stringent defense standards for use in demanding military, security and communications applications, including submarine navigation equipment, aircraft instrumentation and field communications.

UNICOR/FPI fiber optic cables and assemblies meet the fast-growing need for high-performance interconnections between increasingly sophisticated, high-speed equipment components.

Grounding Cable Assemblies

The potential for static build-up sufficient to cause a spark presents a constant danger to personnel and equipment. We manufacture a wide range of grounding cable assemblies that are used in a variety of applications-from unloading fuel to operating portable handsets, wireless base stations and power amplifiers.

We produce a complete line of aircraft grounding cable assemblies that meet the highly precise and demanding military specifications for proper grounding of aircraft during maintenance or refueling.

We also manufacture personal grounding assemblies that protect personnel when working on electrical equipment.

Remanufactured Cable Assemblies

Because UNICOR/FPI produces cable assemblies in-house, we have the equipment and the skilled technicians to remanufacture and upgrade cable assemblies. While labor-intense, our Electronics Group has the personnel and surge capacity to perform quick turnaround on remanufactured cable assemblies, making this process timely and cost-effective. We also can re-engineer and custom-manufacture cable assemblies for equipment that is no longer in production.

Security Camera Cable Assemblies

UNICOR/FPI's security camera cable assemblies save time and effort in installing security cameras on military, federal agency and commercial locations. We also customize cable assemblies to incorporate various types and sizes of connections, based on customer needs.

Our cable assemblies also allow you to link audio-visual amplifiers, connect security cameras to a number of monitors, and are ideal for use in closed-circuit television applications.

Speaker Cable Assemblies

UNICOR/FPI's broad technical skills in braiding EMI/RFI-shielded cables allows us to produce speaker cable assemblies that minimize cross-talk between connectors and maintain signal strength.

Our high-quality cables promote stable signals and are available in single-conductor, 2-conductor and high conductivity cables. We also produce Y assemblies, adapters and distribution cables that transmit audio signals to a number of amplifiers with little signal degradation.
