MATHCOUNTS is an enrichment, coaching, and competition program that promotes middle school mathematics achievement through grassroots involvement. The program uses volunteer coaches meeting with students at their school one hour each week to help students solve math word problems. As a volunteer coach, you can choose the school where you would like to volunteer, and the schedule you are able to work. The work is fun and rewarding! Students are highly motivated and want your help. These volunteers coaches are having a direct impact on student math achievement in mathematics. However, many more volunteers are needed this year to fill the growing needs of these students.
