FederalTransparency.gov was created by the Recovery Accountability & Transparency Board

 – an independent, nonpartisan agency – to provide transparency into federal spending. Initially, the site shows data for the Education Jobs Fund, including the awards to states and the number of jobs. The site also provides information on the Government Accountability and Transparency Board.

Education Jobs Fund Information

The Education Jobs Fund has provided $10 billion in assistance to states to fund education jobs for the 2010-2011 school year, including those that provide educational and related services for early childhood, elementary, and secondary education.
