To provide necessary Team SPAWAR liaison, insight and presence in the National Capital Region. With embedded personnel at key stakeholder organizations, it is the role of WLO personnel to manage and improve stakeholder relationships at the strategic level. Embedded personnel are located within the Assistant Secretary of the Navy for Research, Development and Acquisition Chief System Engineer; Office of the Chief of Naval Operations (OPNAV N6 and N81); Naval Sea Systems Command; Naval Air Systems Command; and Marine Corps Systems Command.
The WLO also provides executive meeting, video teleconferencing and office space for Team SPAWAR personnel to enable effective communications and executive staff support to personnel traveling to the National Capital Region.
