Make Your Video 508 Accessible

Video Implementation (Editing)–Step 3 of 5

Before you upload your finished video, you need to make it “508 accessible.” This crucial step enhances the content so people who are blind, deaf or have motor control disabilities (can't move (or lack hands or arms) can experience it.

You’ll need to do these three things to make your video compliant:

  1. Create captions
  2. Create an audio description of non–audio content in the video (example: someone silently saluting an American flag)
  3. Use a video player people with disabilities can access
