The Alliance celebrated its 40th anniversary with a Concert for the Americas at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts hosted by five-time Emmy-Award winning journalist Giselle Fernandez. The concert featured internationally renowned mezzo-soprano María José Montiel accompanied by pianist Miquel Estelrich Serralta. The evening also featured presentation of the Alliance's VIDA Awards to Michael J. Astrue, Dr. Regina Benjamin, Dr. Enrique Méndez, Jr., and Dr. Mirta Roses Periago. It was a magical evening of reflection and celebration of 40 years of work together.
