Marble Library Special Collections Room Dedication
On September 27, the Joslin celebrated the rededication of the Alexander Marble Special Collections Library (MSCL), which houses the books, collected papers, memorabilia and furniture of Dr. Joslin, Dr. Marble (Dr. Joslin’s editor and protégé) and the original Joslin team. It has grown over the years as volumes from members of the Joslin staff were added.

Joslin Breaks Ground on Translational
Center for the Cure of Diabetes
On June 14, 2012, Joslin Diabetes Center broke ground for the Translational Care Center for the Cure of Diabetes at its campus in the heart of Boston’s Longwood Medical Area in Boston. Governor Deval Patrick swung a sledgehammer along with Joslin CEO & President, John Brooks and the President & CEO of the Massachusetts Life Science Centers, Susan Windham-Bannister.
