UNOS Issues Proposal to Amend Deceased Donor Kidney Allocation Policy

The United Network for Organ Sharing (UNOS) has issued a proposal to amend the deceased donor kidney allocation policy. The long-awaited proposed policy changes would maintain access to kidney transplantation for all candidates while seeking to improve outcomes for kidney transplant recipients and increase utilization of available kidneys.
