A recent survey by Nielsen which looked at how Americans consumed media in 2012 found the TV is still the dominant device in American consumers' homes.
RCA introduces Android tablet featuring Dyle TV
Electronics manufacturer RCA today introduced an Android tablet featuring two tuners that allow users to access free live TV on the go. A story in AllThingsD reports that the RCA Mobile TV Tablet includes "two built-in tuner--one standard over-the-air DTV tuner for when you're stationary and one mobile tuner for when you're on the go."
Online video ad venture TubeMogul gets $20 million
A group of investors has added $20 million to the coffers of TubeMogul, giving the six-year-old company more financial resources to attack a marketing plan to help advertisers buy video space through real-time auctions. The latest investment nearly doubled the total amount of money the company has raised, pushing that to $35 million.
Warner Bros. inks exclusive TV content deal with Netflix
It's been a good news, bad news situation for Netflix of late. On the good news front, the online streaming media player signed a licensing agreement with Warner Bros. Television Group for complete previous seasons of serialized dramas. This was tempered by the bad news that HBO, in extending its deal with Universal Pictures for movie rights through 2022, effectively shut Netflix out.

Intel said to be prepping set-top box

Online video going mainstream, says Cisco study
In 2012, watching online video became more than just a hobby for cutting-edge Internet enthusiasts, found a survey performed by the Cisco Internet Business Solutions Group (IBSG) studying the "trends and behaviors" of 1,152 video consumers in the United States. "Overall, streaming video is ahead of downloading and about even with DVDs and Blu-ray discs," said Chris Osika, senior director, U.S. Service Provider at IBSG.

LAS VEGAS--Verizon Wireless said that almost 50 percent of its data load now travels over its LTE network.
