NTIS Deposit Account for Interlibrary Loan Billing

Libraries that wish to be billed for interlibrary loan service from the National Library of Medicine (NLM) through the National Technical Information Service (NTIS) can establish a deposit account to facilitate payment. To establish a deposit account, complete the NTIS application form. After establishing your account, you should deposit quarterly an estimated amount of funds in U.S. currency that you expect to spend.

Invoices will be issued quarterly by NTIS, 5301 Shawnee Road, Alexandria, Virginia 22312 and are payable to "NTIS". Coupons are not accepted as payment for these charges. Interlibrary loan service will not be provided to libraries with delinquent accounts.

Keep a copy of each loan request form. The loan request number appears on the summary page of the invoice and is needed to interpret the invoice charges. NLM is unable to provide a second copy at the end of the quarter.
