  4. Beginning in 1973, GPO began to sponsor Community Day during the Holiday Season. The agency invites children from the surrounding community to share in holiday cheer. 2012 marked the 39th Annual Community Day.

    Photo: In 2012, GPO welcomed children from the Friendship Southeast Elementary Academy Charter School in Washington, DC for the annual Community Day event.  GPO employees and Unions donated winter coats, gloves and an educational toy for the children.
