Kathleen Stanley, Chief, Office of Transformation Coordination

Background Experience/Significant Achievements:

Kathleen “Kath” Stanley was appointed as the Chief of the Office of Transformation Coordination on Oct. 1, 2012. As Chief, she is responsible for ensuring that the new Electronic Immigration System, USCIS ELIS, provides superior service to USCIS customers, staff and stakeholders.

 Previously, Kath served as the first Chief of the USCIS Office of Intake and Document Production where she lead the consolidation of forms design, printing, distribution, card production and the intake process for immigration benefits into one office. This office was created as part of the USCIS Director’s realignment in January 2012 and it falls within the Management Directorate.

During her 22 years with USCIS and legacy INS, Kath has worked in several offices. As the Division Chief for Lockbox Operations within the Office of the Chief Financial Officer, Kath was responsible for centralizing the form and fee intake process to a secure lockbox environment. This major initiative, completed in 2011, has improved consistency and integrity in the intake process.

Kath’s extensive career as a public servant also includes service with the Department of Defense’s Office of the Inspector General and the Government Accountability Office.

Education:

Kath graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a bachelor’s degree in business.
