Hong Hao, Ph.D.
Hong has a B.S. in Pharmacy and an M.S. in Biochemical Pharmaceutics from Shandong Medical University, Jinan, Shandong Province, China. She received her Ph.D. in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology from the Medical University of Ohio. Her doctoral thesis explored the mechanism of transcriptional regulation of folate receptor type beta in normal and malignant hematopoietic tissues.
Hong joined the N-NRL in November 2006. Her research focuses on identifying the downstream targets of Nrl and its implication in retinal development and retinal degeneration.
