Oct 13, 2011 Benefits.gov en Español ? Providing Hispanic Communities with Access to Benefit Program Information
This is an image of a Hispanic mother reading to her son outside. Each year, Americans observe National Hispanic Heritage Month from September 15 to October 15 by celebrating the histories of American citizens whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean and Central and South America.

This year, share your personal story to celebrate the history, heritage and true spirit of the Hispanic community. Visit StoryCorps Historias, an initiative to record the diverse stories and life experiences of Latinos in the United States, to record a meaningful experience that you can share with friends and family. With your permission, StoryCorps Historias will archive a copy at the Library of Congress for future generations to hear.
