About Security Center (SC)

Mission

The Security Center provides leadership on all matters relating to physical and information security for the Department of Labor. SC staff is dedicated to ensuring a safe and secure workplace and responsible for the protection of life and property at the national office, regional and field offices, DOL owned facilities and the development and maintenance of appropriate working relationships with federal, state and local agencies that perform critical security, national security, emergency response, and law enforcement functions. Through the development and implementation of security policy; the protection of agency employees, visitors, personal property, controlled unclassified and classified information, the Security Center has and will continue to ensure that the Department of Labor and its employees can perform their mission.
