National Archives Legislative Archives Fellowship
The Legislative Archives Fellowship supports scholarly work in United States history that is based on research in the records of the U.S. Senate and U.S. House of Representatives. Archivist of the United States David S. Ferriero created the Fellowship with support from the Foundation for the National Archives. To qualify for the fellowship applicants must be Ph.D. candidates with an approved dissertation proposal at the time of application or have received their Ph.D. within the last five years. Research proposals are considered on any topic that uses the historical records of Congress at the Center for Legislative Archives. Applicants must submit a research plan that identifies the records at the Center that support their topics and spend at least one month researching at the Center for Legislative Archives. Please note the National Archives is no longer accepting applications for 2012.
