The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) has improved its application process by enhancing the DEA Career Gateway system and moving to the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) USA Staffing recruiting system.

USA Staffing is a product of the OPM, which means that it’s designed by the federal government for the federal government, to accommodate the unique requirements of federal recruitment and staffing.

The PDF documents and links listed below are provided to guide applicants through the process of applying for a position at the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) using USAJobs and the DEA Career Gateway by USA Staffing recruiting system. Career Gateway by USA Staffing is fully integrated with USAJobs. However, you will need to create a new user name and password for Application Manager.  Please be sure to read all application requirements carefully.

To report a problem with Application Manager, send an email to ApplicationManagerHelpDesk@opm.gov. In your message, provide the following information if possible:

  • Your Application Manager user name
  • The nature of the problem
  • The steps you took before the problem occurred
  • The main statement of any error message you may have received. (You may attach a screen capture of the error message if you know how to do this.)
