Office of Directives Management


Office of Directives Management manages a number of programs, including the Department's:

  • Directives Program (approving and releasing Department regulations)
  • Forms Management Program (ensuring consistent and approved use of forms throughout the Department)
  • Reports [regular] Management Program
  • Information collection program
  • Numbered delegations of authority
The Directives Office also performs external liaison functional responsibilities for the following areas:
  • Federal Register (publishing Department of State material)
  • Office of Management and Budget (regarding information collection from the public and rulemaking)
  • General Services Administration (managing Department-generated interagency reports)
