OIG Office of Management

The Office of Management (OM) supports the employees and audit and investigative work of the Office of Inspector General.  OM formulates and executes the OIG budget, procures goods and services on behalf of the OIG, and manages facilities, human resources, vital records management, security, property management and information technology.  Additionally, the Office prepares management policies and reports.

Overseeing the acquisition, maintenance, and disposition of all OIG material assets, OM ensures staff have the necessary space and equipment to meet their mission goals.  The Office ensures compliance with all security rules and regulations, including employee credentialing and background security clearances.  OM ensures all OIG records are retained in the proper manner, and disposed of according to National Archives and Records guidelines, and coordinates the procurement of goods and services and travel management services.

Working with the Office of Management and Budget and the Department of the Treasury, OM prepares, presents and executes the annual budget, and integrated financial and performance plans. Working with its partner, the Bureau of Public Debt Administrative Resources Center, the Office of Management offers an array of human resources services, including human capital strategic planning, performance management, employee relations, compensation and benefits, work/life offerings, and awards and recognition.  Information Technology services include ensuring all computer equipment and software is available on a 24/7 basis,  maintenance support to OIG employees, monitoring information security and development of operational plans, policies, and procedures for the use and operation of the OIG network.
