How Do I Suggest a Resource?

You can recommend resources you think should be added to Disability.gov by selecting the “Suggest a Resource” button on the right side of the home page.

Before submitting a suggested resource, please read our link policy on the Suggest a Resource page. Then, enter a page title, the website address and answer the security question. You may also include a description of the resource and choose the topic(s) and audience(s) you think apply.

How Do I Build a Disability.gov Widget?

You might be wondering, “What is a widget?” A widget is an online application built by one website for display on another, such as a personalized home page or blog. Once you’ve added a widget to a site, no technical maintenance is required since the widget will automatically update itself.

The Disability.gov widget displays recently added resources for the topics and locations you selected when building it.

To get started, select the “Get Our Widget” link in the Connect with Disability.gov box. On the Disability.gov Widget page, choose one or more topics from the list in the Customize box. Then, select up to three states and/or “Include National Resources” and choose a color for your widget, either light grey or blue. Finally, pick a size for your widget and select the “Preview” button.

If you are happy with your widget, select the “Copy Code” button at the bottom of the page. Now you can add the HTML code to your website.
