Leadership Giving:
Gifts of Art and In-Kind Gifts

The Gallery seeks gifts of art in the areas in which it collects and in keeping with the high standards established by its Founding Benefactors. Gifts of art are held in perpetuity because the Gallery does not deaccession art, with the exception of duplicate impressions of prints. All gifts must be approved by the Board of Trustees before acceptance into the collection.

Rare Books and Manuscripts

The Gallery accepts gifts of rare books and manuscripts that will complement the library's comprehensive collection of books, periodicals, and documents on the history, theory, and criticism of art and architecture.

Gifts of Real Estate

The Gallery accepts outright gifts of real estate. The Gallery will sell donated real estate and add the proceeds to the art acquisition fund or to a program of the donor's choice.

Personal Property

The Gallery accepts gifts of personal property for uses directly related to its tax-exempt function as an art museum.

Your tax advisor can provide information about the tax deductibility of gifts of art and in-kind gifts. For general information about these types of gifts, please contact the Development Office.
