Office of the General Counsel

Re: S002845.1

Dear [xxx]:

This concerns your request for reconsideration of our settlement decision on your claim.

Section 178.107 of Title 5, Code of Federal Regulations, provides that the claims settlement decisions issued by this office are final decisions, no further administrative review of these decisions is available within OPM, and nothing in OPM's regulations limits the right of a claimant to bring an action in an appropriate United States court. A copy of section 178.107 is enclosed. In view of the regulation, we cannot grant your request for reconsideration.

Sincerely,

Jo-Ann Chabot
Attorney
