Share Your StoryEnding Childhood Hunger
Everyone agrees that no child should ever go hungry. Yet childhood hunger still exists in our country. In 2009, more than 8 million households with children in were food insecure and unable to provide enough food for everyone at the table.
More than 1 million children in those homes simply did not get enough to eat -- some had too-small meals, some skipped meals, or some even went whole days without food at some point during the year.
Our Nation’s health depends on the health of our children. We know that hungry children face unnecessary barriers as they strive to become healthy, productive, and engaged members of society. We must work together, and all do our part to put an end to childhood hunger in the U.S..
