The 2013 NHSC Loan Repayment Program is now open to prospective applicants through Tuesday, April 16, 2013. The program offers primary care medical, dental, and mental and behavioral health providers the opportunity to have their student loans repaid while serving in communities with limited access to care.

Retention is on the rise. Corps members choose to remain in underserved communities after their service commitment has ended. Tells the whole story on retention, including results of a 2012 retention assessment survey, retention rates by discipline, factors affecting retention and NHSC efforts to support retention.

NHSC-approved Indian Health Service health clinics and Tribal Clinics looking to fill positions in NHSC-approved disciplines (medical, dental, and mental and behavioral health). Site registration is open until Thursday, February 21. Provider registration will be coming soon.

More than $19 million in funding for loan repayment was awarded to 87 medical students in 29 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico, who will serve as primary care doctors and help strengthen the health care workforce.
