Harry S. Truman Library

The Press Room at the Truman Library's White House Decision Center (WHDC).

In this room, participants acting as members of the Press ask questions of participants in the roles of President and members of the Cabinet about challenges faced by the Truman Administration.

Education Programs

Presidential Libraries provide a broad range of educational opportunities for students of all ages. Each Presidential Library offers programs designed to introduce students to American history and the Presidency and to inform teachers about the use of primary source documents in teaching history.

White House Decision Center The White House Decision Center at the Truman Presidential Library and Museum is an experiential program in which students take on the roles of President Truman and his advisors facing real-life historical decisions. Learn More

Five Star Leaders Education ProjectFive Star Leaders at the Eisenhower Presidential Library and Museum is an experiential program that challenges students in grades 8-12 to work together to solve a problem, confront a crisis, or accomplish a mission. Learn More

Cabinet Room The Cabinet Room at the Ford Presidential Library and Museum is an interactive media experience allowing students and adults to use the West Wing's famous conference room and original documents to role-play through many of the complex problems that faced the Ford Administration.

Pretend You Are the President Pretend You Are the President is one of many educational programs available at the Roosevelt Presidential Library and Museum. Working with documents and artifacts, students learn about the Presidency, and what a demanding job it can be, as they role-play some of the many tasks the Chief Executive is called upon to perform.
