Accredited representatives may assist aliens in immigration proceedings before the Executive Office for Immigration Review’s immigration courts and Board of Immigration Appeals (Board), or before the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), or both. Some accredited representatives may assist aliens only before DHS. All accredited representatives must be designated by an organization that is recognized by the Board. Organizations must apply to the Board for recognition as well as accreditation of its representatives. The rules for qualifying organizations, requests for recognition, withdrawal of recognition, and accreditation of representatives can be found in the Code of Federal Regulations, 8 C.F.R. § 292.2 and § 1292.2.

The R&A rosters provided on this page are maintained by the R&A Program Coordinator, and are updated weekly. Since changes may occur between weekly updates affecting the status of organizations and representatives, the most up-to-date information can be obtained by contacting the R&A Program Coordinator at (703) 305-9029. The rosters state whether an accredited representative may assist aliens in all proceedings (full accreditation) or only before Department of Homeland Security (partial accreditation).
