Transportation Affairs (EB/TRA) in the Bureau of Economic and Business Affairs (EB), led by Deputy Assistant Secretary Kris Urs, is devoted to providing the fullest possible support to the U.S. global transportation industry, a service that is vital to the prosperity and security of Americans and citizens of every nation around the world. EB/TRA is composed of two offices: the Office of Aviation Negotiations (AN) and the Office of Transportation Policy (OTP). Through negotiation of international air services agreements and working with other U.S. government agencies to improve safety, security and the environment, EB/TRA aims to create a world-wide transportation system that is open, efficient, secure and safe for the rapid and economical movement of people and goods.
