November 2012 lung cancer awareness month. Lung Cancer is the leading cause of cancer deaths in the nation. Second only to heart disease

Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer deaths in the nation, second only to heart disease and is the leading cause of cancer deaths among black men. However, survival rates have not been high due to the lack of awareness, detection in the late stages of the disease and the occurrence of the disease in people who have either quit smoking or have never smoked at all. Knowing the symptoms and steps you can take for early detection may just save your life and make you someone else's hero.
