Transportation Planner's Accessibility Toolkit: • TransCAD continues to be the planning software of choice: The Reno and Boston MPOs are the latest to acquire TransCAD for regional travel demand forecasting. TransCAD is now used universally in both Nevada and Massachusetts. Caliper is developing a new travel demand and land use model for the Santa Barbara County Association of Governments (SBCAG). The updated model is based upon 2010 Census and other newly available datasets. The model also incorporates 4Ds measures, contains activity-based modeling components, is sensitive to auto operating costs, land use changes, and will be compliant with California’s SB375 requirements. The model also integrates the UPLAN land use model and CommunityVIZ into the travel model process. Maptitude Mapping Software
