 Executive Order
DHS Operating Status for December 24, 2012

The President has signed an executive order closing the Federal Government and excusing employees from duty on Monday, December 24, 2012, the day before Christmas Day. (
Executive Order )

Those DHS employees who have tours of duty scheduled on December 24, 2012, for reasons related to law enforcement, transportation security, and national security are expected to report to duty. If you have any questions about whether you should report for duty, you should consult with your supervisor.
