Additionally, the Office of OSH with VA's OSH and WC Steering Committees promotes effective program management utilizing VA's OSH and WC Strategic Plans, which contain VA's national OSH and WC program goals, objectives, strategies, and performance measures.

WC Education Opportunities: 

  • Workers' Compensation-Occupational Safety and Health/Management Information System (WC-OSH/MIS) Citrix link Website link --- This system provides metrics for WC, which includes the return to work employment screens and safety (e.g., three most frequent types of injury locations).  The system is the conduit for electronic transmission of WC claims to the Department of Labor (DOL) Office of Workers' Compensation Programs (OWCP) and electronically receives case data from DOL. 

VA's Office of OSH in conjunction with other Federal Agencies, such as the Department of Labor (DOL),  Occupational Safety and Health Administration , the  Environmental Protection Agency  (EPA),  Centers for Disease and Prevention  (CDC),  Food and Drug Administration  (FDA) and other safety and health-related Government agencies promotes safe and healthful workplaces and effective management of the WC.
