June 8, 2012 - The National Archives releases an updated Open Government Plan for 2012-2014. In the introduction to the plan, the Archivist of the United States, David Ferriero, discusses the upcoming implementation of the Digital Government Strategy.

May 23, 2012 - President Obama issued the directive, “Building a 21st Century Digital Government.” The Administration launched a comprehensive Digital Government Strategy aimed at delivering better digital services to the American people.
