Help At The End Of The Line

Over the past 20 years, the Boys Town National HotlineSM (1-800-448-3000) has helped more than 8 million teens, parents and families. We’ve heard from callers just how much the Hotline has helped them, giving them hope when their situations seemed hopeless. We invite you to check this site for videos and other helpful resources.

In addition to the tradition hotline, we also offer instant messaging or "online chat" to teens at yourlifeyourvoice.org. This site offers this and other alternative ways for kids to connect since millions sign online every day.

The Boys Town National HotlineSM is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and staffed by specially trained Boys Town counselors. It is accredited by the American Association of Suicidiology (AAS). Parents, teens and families can find help with the following:

  • Suicide prevention
  • Sexual abuse
  • Parenting troubles
  • Anger
  • Physical abuse
  • School issues
  • Chemical dependency
  • Relationship problems
  • Depression
  • Emotional abuse
  • Runaways
  • And much more

Spanish-speaking counselors and translation services, representing more than 140 languages, are available, along with a TDD line (1-800-448-1833) that allows counselors to communicate with speech-impaired and deaf callers.
