What is Toxicology?

Toxicology is the study of the adverse effects of chemical, physical, or biological agents on people, animals, and the environment.

Toxicologists are scientists trained to investigate, interpret, and communicate the nature of those effects.

Did You Know?

The National Toxicology Program (NTP) is an interagency program that studies and evaluates substances in our environment to determine if they are potential health hazards from humans and develops improved testing methods.
