  This site, maintained by the Library of Congress, the Internet Archive, and webArchivist.org, provides an archive for web sites covering September 11 events. According to Choice, this site is probably the best place to begin research on this topic.

  This Library of Congress site covers bills, resolutions, and legislation regarding the terrorist attacks.
• Terrorist Attack on the United States
  On Mike Maden's Academic Info page, this site provides resources for information on the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.
• September 11th Resources
  This Special Libraries Association (SLA) web site is a collection of excellent resources related to the events of September 11, 2001.
• September 11 Resources
  According to Choice, this site is a solid, useful starting point for research regarding most aspects of the attacks and their aftermath.

  This National Security Archives site provides online readers on terrorism, intelligence, and the next war.

Afghanistan

• Afghanistan
  The Washington Post's overview of the situation in Afghanistan including overviews on Bin Ladin and the key players in Afghanistan.
• Afghanistan: The Harrison Forman Collection
  This online exhibit documents the life and culture of Afghanistan in the late 1960s, several years before the Soviet Union invaded the country.
• Afghanistan: Land in Crisis
  This new special feature from National Geographic collects information on Afghanistan, including articles, maps, lesson plans, current news, and more. Some of the site's notable features include and archived Webcast of an October 22 screening of "National Geographic Explores a Changing World" and panel discussion on the Middle East and Afghanistan; and a bibliography of National Geographic's print resources related to the topic. This site includes a regularly updated interactive map of Afghanistan displaying cities and attacks, ethnic groups, drought, and vegetation, and more. Teachers will want to check out the four lesson plans, which are geared to various age groups K-12.
• Afghanistan Resources: Taliban Links
  These resources are updated regularly, and most are annotated.
• The Campaign Against International Terrorism: Prospects after the Fall of the Taliban
  "This paper provides and update on the campaign against international terrorism following the fall of the Taliban regime in Afghanistan. It examines the main developments since the end of October 2001, including the ongoing military campaign, the Bonn agreement on a new interim administration for the country, and the humanitarian situation. The paper then looks at the state of al-Queda three months after the attacks of 11 September and discusses possible options for the next phase in the broader campaign against international terrorism.
