Studies show that intervening to prevent genocide and mass killing is more likely to be successful the earlier it begins. Despite recognizing this need for early warning, there is still no systematic, publicly available process for forecasting these atrocities. As part of the effort to fill this critical gap, the Museum convened a group of experts to explore key aspects of designing and operating such a system.
