The National Occupational Research Agenda (NORA)

The National Occupational Research Agenda (NORA) is a partnership program to stimulate innovative research and improved workplace practices. Partners then work together to develop goals and objectives for addressing these needs. more...

National Sector Agendas

NORA Sector Councils have created sector agendas for the nation to guide research and research-to-practice. The Councils will update these as needed. All comments sent to the NORA Coordinator will be forwarded to the relevant Council.

Two New Publications on Cleaning Chemicals

NIOSH and OSHA recently released two new publications on the safe use of cleaning chemicals. A poster, Protect Yourself: Cleaning Chemicals and Your Health (http://www.osha.gov/Publications/3511-CleanChemPoster.pdf), focuses primarily on informing employees. An info sheet, Protecting Workers Who Use Cleaning Chemicals (http://www.cdc.gov/niosh/docs/2012-126/pdfs/2012-126.pdf), provides guidance primarily to employers. Both were developed by the NORA Services Sector Council and address chemical safety topics, such as the use of green cleaners and the importance of worker training.
