Background

The Subcommittee on Buildings Technology Research and Development has been established by action of the National Science and Technology Council (NSTC) Committee on Technology.  The purpose of the Subcommittee is to coordinate interagency buildings technology R&D activities.  The Subcommittee is co-chaired by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and the Department of Energy (DOE).

Membership

The following Federal departments are represented on the BTRD Subcommittee:

  • Department of Housing and Urban Development

  • Department of Veterans Affairs
  • Executive Office of the President

and other Federal departments that wish to participate.
