Eligibility Criteria

  1. You must have a permanent, severe physical, psychiatric, or mental impairment that substantially limits one or more major life activities. Disabilities may include mental retardation, psychiatric disorders, muscular or neurological disorders, and less obvious disabilities such as lupus, AIDS, diabetes, or heart disease.
  2. You must be certified by a licensed medical professional, a licensed vocational rehabilitation specialist, or any Federal Agency, State Agency, or Agency of the District of Columbia or U.S. Territory that issues or provides disability benefits. You must submit this documentation by the closing date of this announcement.
  3. You must meet the qualification requirements for the position.

If you are selected for the position, a second letter certifying job readiness must be provided prior to appointment stating that the duties of the position have been evaluated and it has been determined that you are likely to succeed in the performance of these duties. The letter must also state what reasonable accommodations, if any, are required. Certification of job readiness can be provided by any entity listed in 2 above.
