Brief Description: Talbot County typically conducts a Basic CERT class in the spring and another in the fall. The classes are conducted at the Talbot Operations Center, 605 Port St. Easton, MD on Monday evenings, starting at 6:30 PM. We are not currently organized into dedicated teams. Once there are enough trained indivuals we will consider that possibility.

Brief Description: The Ocean City Community Emergency Response Team (OC-CERT) program trains volunteers in neighborhoods, the workplace, and other in basic disaster response skills, such as fire suppression, first aid, CPR and preparedness skills. CERT members aid the Town with events and preparedness education activates. New updates are in-place with quarterly meetings, additional training and other activates. OC-CERT members are an asset to the Town of Ocean City and surrounding community

Brief Description: Montgomery County Maryland provides our community a robust CERT program that features frequent CERT basic courses and the annual Cap Shield excercise, CBRNE training, First Aid, CPR/AED, Disaster Medical First Responder, and montlhy training from outside agencies. We have responded and provided service in floods, storms, and special events including the 2008 Presidential Inauguration. Montgomery County CERT sent a team to Haiti and trained two 'sister' CERT teams in 2010.

Brief Description: The Dorchester County CERT Program instructs you how to take care of yourself, family and neighbors in the event of a natural or man-made disaster. The training consists of basic information in the area of Disaster preparedness; fire safety; disaster medical operations; light search and rescue operations; CERT organization; disaster psychology and terrorism. The program is a 28 hour block of instruction and has final hands-on exercise.

Brief Description: Charles County offers the 20 hour CERT training course in one weekend (Friday evening into Sunday afternoon)normally in April of each year. We're discussing holding 8 hour refresher classes in October each year. The CERT Animal Response supplement material is being held in two parts between April and October (depending on the availability of the instructor.

Brief Description: While in existance since at least 2005, Queen Anne's County CERT is about to undergo major changes. We envision CERT to be a tangible asset to be used in various emergency and non-emergency functions. The main objective though, will be to ease the burden on emergency service providers in the event of a "system taxing" event by creating an attitude of community preparedness, self reliance and neighbors helping neighbors through the personal preparedness training delivered through CERT.
