Franklin Jones
Franklin C. Jones is the Executive Director for the Diversity and Civil Rights at Customs and Border Protection (CBP). He joined the former U.S. Customs Service (presently U.S. Customs and Border Protection) in October 1999. Prior to joining CBP, Mr. Jones served as a Senior Attorney/Advisor with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission from May 1994 through October 1999. He worked as an Administrative Judge, EEO Investigator, and State and Local Coordinator for the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission from January 1991 to May 1994. From 1980 to 1984 Mr. Jones served in the United States Air Force. He has a BA in Inter-Disciplinary Studies from the University of South Carolina, and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Baltimore School of Law. He is a member of the Maryland and Pennsylvania State Bars. Additionally, he is a graduate of the Harvard University, Kennedy School of Government, Senior Executive Fellowship Program, and the Office of Personnel Management, Leadership for a Democratic Society Program. Mr. Jones received a certificate in Diversity Management from Cornell University, School of Industrial and Labor Relations; and is certified as a mediator by the Justice Center of Atlanta, the Center for Dispute Resolution, and the San Diego Mediation Center.
