  • The National Archives and international partners launched an online Research Portal for Records Related to Nazi-Era Cultural Property.

  • David Ferriero, Archivist of the United States testified before a House committee on whether the Presidential Records Act of 1978 should to be updated to deal with new forms of digital records, such as Facebook and Twitter postings.
  • The John F. Kennedy Library and Museum will open a new wing of the library to house 15,000 square feet of archival storage, a staging area for exhibits and curatorial work, and a new temporary exhibit gallery.  Boston Globe article.
  • Thomas F. Schwartz, Illinois State Historian and a noted authority on Abraham Lincoln, has been appointed as the director of the Herbert Hoover Presidential Library and Museum.
