IREX III Appendices (zip file with PDF)

The IREX III evaluation of one-to-many iris identification algorithms is now complete. It will be quickly succeeded by the IREX IV activity which will evaluate identification implementations, establish iris recognition compression profiles of the JPEG 2000 algorithm, and demonstrate minimum cost metrics. Details will be available shortly on the IREX IV homepage (coming soon).

February 16, 2011: A validation package has been released. The validation process ensures the correct operation of participants' software before and after delivery to NIST. All submitted SDKs must be validated. For further instructions, see readme.txt.

February 11, 2011: NIST announces the availability of the final Concept, Evaluation Plan and API for the conduct of the latest IREX phase, IREX III. The document is linked here NIST_IREX_III_testing_2011_02_11.pdf. Questions should be directed to irex@nist.gov

February 11, 2011: Prospective participants in the IREX III test should follow the read, sign and submit the participation agreement linked from IREX_III_Application_v10.pdf . Questions should be directed to irex@nist.gov

January 31, 2011: NIST announces the availability of the fourth draft Concept, Evaluation Plan and API for the conduct of the latest IREX phase, IREX III. The document is linked here NIST_IREX_III_testing_2011_01_29.pdf . While the document is considered almost final, some further revisions may be necessary.
